Table: metadata main table

This table contains metadata on the honey bee colonies used in the study, the period in which a particular hive sensor device was associated with a honey bee colony, information on the data files produced by a hive sensor device, technical information related to a hive sensor device, information on the fate of the honey bee colony in 2020 and some general remarks related to the honey bee colony.

1. Changed header from Device ID to Device_id. Reason: It is good data management practice to use consistent metadata throughout the entire dataset.
2. Changed header latest LOG file used for importing 2021 data (date untill the importing has been finished in july2022) to latest logfile. Reason: It is no good practice to include a comment to a column in the header. The comment should go into a separate metadata section where columns are defined and commented.

1. Missing values were replaced by {NULL} (140 occurrences)
2. In a record with ID = {64} a {?} has been inserted in column Data start date and Data end date. This dataype is not compatible with the datetime datatype used in this column. This data has been changed to {NULL}.

1. For many columns it is possible to guess the meaning based on the context. However, for some columns (.csv file downloaded via the automated MI?, Researches, latest logfile, Q replacement date(s)). Since it was decided to include this data in the data set, it should be explained in order to allow reuse of the data.
2. In column ID there is one occurrence of {NULL}. If there are no well-founded reasons to do so it is recommended to use an integer value. Otherwise, there is a risk of an error when the data is reused.
3. In column User name the attributes {Switserland} and {UK} are used. If there are no well-founded reasons to do so it is recommended to use the English name of these countries (Switzerland, Great Britain), like for the majority of the attributes and to use the same attributes in all related datasets.
4. In cell D81 of worksheet meta data (20230107) of raw data file 1-meta-data-compiled-20230107.xlsx a comment has beeb inserted. This information gets lost when the data is imported in the EU Pollinator Hub. If there are no well-founded reasons to do so it is recommended to add such comments in a separate column.
