Description
This is a reference library of pollen types with information about their size and taxonomic position. NB : the volume data have not been used.
Pollen_name
= pollen name as used in the different dataset including errors, typos etc...Pollen_type
= clean pollen categories to be used (with some groupings)Pollen_familly
= Botanical fammily of the pollen speciesPollen_code

= range of known sizes + letter providing the source of information (see below)p
= polar size effectively used (for ranges we used the mean of the extreme values)q

= volume of the ellipsoid calculated from r & q as 4/3 * r/2 *(q/2)^2r
= mean radius used by louis to calculate the volume as a spherevol_r
= volume used by Louis based on r
