Class Definition

The principal gland [of the sting consiting] [...] of a pair of long, slender, much-convoluted tubules lying in the posterior part of the abdomen [...]. Each tubule ends with a small glandular enlargment, and the two tubules unite in a short common duct that opens into the anterior end of the poison sac [...], which by its tapering posterior end discharges into the cavity of the bulb of the sting shaft.
